Under18s Policy

Our policy

While Urban Mysteries Co rooms are primarily designed for adult players, we are committed to providing an enjoyable and safe environment for all persons, including those under 18 years of age (under 18s), however due to small items within our rooms we do not permit any person under 7 years of age to engage in our experiences.

It is Urban Mysteries Co policy that:

All players aged under 18 years of age must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times when engaging in Urban Mysteries Co experiences.

Urban Mysteries Co workers will provide general communication to all groups at the commencement of the activity, which Under 18s may be present for. Incidental physical contact with players may occur during transport to the experience, or when being provided with necessary tools at commencement. When involving Under18s these activities will always be carried out in the presence of the parent or guardian.

Video and audio monitoring of Urban Mysteries Co experiences is carried out by workers to ensure the successful delivery of the experience, and for asset protection purposes, surveillance footage may be shared with relevant authorities, insurance companies and business agents as required.

Urban Mysteries Co workers will maintain a knowledge of harm indicators and reporting obligations, and uphold the requirements of this policy. Where the Partners of Urban Mysteries Co may become aware of abuse, neglect, bullying, harassment or harm (physical or psychological) toward an Under18s the Child Abuse Report Line (13 14 78) may be contacted. Immediate risks will be reported to the Police (000).

This policy is applicable to all persons who engage with Urban Mysteries Co, including workers and customers. This policy has been prepared in accordance with relevant legislation and aligns with National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
